As the weather cools, curling up with a cuppa and a book makes a lot of sense. Even better, Nazareth has a Spiritual Book Club, so after a cosy read, you can enjoy refreshments and a cuppa with your Church family and friends to chat about the book!
We’re currently reading The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher (more info below). Nazareth’s Spiritual Book Club asks all the usual book club questions – the discussion is typical of a Book Club, but we also place a Christian lens over the story, asking “Where is God in this story?” and similar discussion starters.
Join Helen, our facilitator, Saturday 14th June from 10am at Nazareth Hall. Free and open to all – just please RSVP to the office by 10th June, for catering purposes. If you can’t come to this session, the next session will be 9th August (book tba).

Summary from Booktopia:
Rosamunde Pilcher”s phenomenal and heart-warming bestseller explores the nuances of family drama
Artist’s daughter Penelope Keeling can look back on a full and varied life: a Bohemian childhood in London and Cornwall, an unhappy wartime marriage, and the one man she truly loved. She has brought up three children – and learned to accept them as they are.
Yet she is far too energetic and independent to settle sweetly into pensioned-off old-age. And when she discovers that her most treasured possession, her father’s painting, The Shell Seekers, is now worth a small fortune, it is Penelope who must make the decisions that will determine whether her family can continue to survive as a family, or be split apart.
